The Fault in Our Stars meets Eleanor and Park in this exhilarating and heart-wrenching love story about a girl who learns to live from a boy who intends to die.
Soon to be a major motion picture starring Elle Fanning!
Theodore Finch is fascinated by death, and he constantly thinks of ways he might kill himself. But each time, something good, no matter how small, stops him.
Violet Markey lives for the future, counting the days until graduation, when she can escape her Indiana town and her aching grief in the wake of her sister’s recent death.
When Finch and Violet meet on the ledge of the bell tower at school, it’s unclear who saves whom. And when they pair up on a project to discover the “natural wonders” of their state, both Finch and Violet make more important discoveries: It’s only with Violet that Finch can be himself—a weird, funny, live-out-loud guy who’s not such a freak after all. And it’s only with Finch that Violet can forget to count away the days and start living them. But as Violet’s world grows, Finch’s begins to shrink.I’d give this book 6 stars out of 5! Yep that GREAT! It made me cry.
If you know someone dealing with stuff and thinking about suicide, please don’t leave that person. Seek help, offer support, talk to that person. PLEASE. Suicide is not a joke! Oh God help them!
Don’t ask them why but ask them to tell you about what they’re planning to do.
My heart cried for Finch and Violet.
You know what I like about you, Finch? You’re interesting. You’re different. And I can talk to you. Don’t let that go to your head.”
… “You know what I like about you, Ultraviolet Remarkey-able? Everything.
Finch why? seriously why????? You hurt me 😥
I know life well enough to know you can’t count on things staying around or standing still, no matter how much you want them to. You can’t stop people from dying. You can’t stop them from going away. You can’t stop yourself from going away either. I know myself well enough to know that no one else can keep you awake or keep you from sleeping.
I CAN’T FIND WORDS TO REVIEW THIS BOOK JUST READ IT! IT’LL MOVE YOU. IT’LL MAKE YOU THINK ABOUT YOUR FEELINGS. HOW THE ACTIONS OF OTHERS CAN NEGATIVELY AFFECT OTHERS OR HOW IT CAN HURT THEM. YOU NEVER KNOW WHO’S DEPRESSION OR SUICIDAL. JUST READ IT.
