Millie’s selflessness cost her to lose and destroy Logan, her flowery biker goodness for 20 years.
I gave you up, walking through fire to do it but I did it. I did it in the end. I gave up everything.
The way Logan treated Millie when she came back to explain her reason to get closure was really disrespectful. He treated her like a cheap who*e. I understand he was mad, angry even, but you do not treat women like that!! Revenge fck was insulting. But when he learned about the big why, he knew he, too, f*cked up.
He’d fucked up, the stunt he pulled at Wild Bill’s field and everything after, the penance he made her pay for a sin she never committed.
But he’d fix it.
Then it was his turn.
Finally, fucking finally.
It was his turn to give her everything.
Millie’s reasoning for breaking them was kinda heart breaking. But her wrong was she didn’t talk to Logan about “it” or that there’s another way for them to find “it”. Well, being young what can you do?
You should have told me,” he whispered. “ ’Cause now I can’t prove to you you were all I wanted. You were all I needed. You took that shot away from me and it was as important then as it is now that you know that to your bones, Millie. You gave me what you thought I had to have and I’m grateful, so fuckin’ grateful, baby. […] I would have had everything if all I had in life was you. And you took away my shot to show you that. You also took away any shot I had of helpin’ you through gettin’ the knowledge we couldn’t have a family and buildin’ a new dream together and that cuts just as deep. You made those decisions on your own without sharing ”
Overall, this book was amazeball!
