I was never supposed to see him again.
One night of passion with a complete stranger.
My last tryst before senior year.
But I was lost the moment his tempting lips were on my skin.
His intense touch on my body.
It should have ended there.
But he’s not a stranger.
He’s my history teacher.
And wanting him is against the rules.
A forbidden love between a teacher and a student. Carson and Lynn met at a beach to avoid the the frat party. They flirted and had sex. Later, Carson and Lynn didn’t know that one is a teacher and one is a student. Though both of them tried to avoid their growing feelings but it’s just there. Their connection were so strong they get pulled back into each others arms. Carson tried to date his co-worker as his stupid way of distancing himself from Lynn. But that’s how Carson’s way of putting Lynn first.
Sometimes you have to put others first, even if it hurts them to do so; that’s what I just did. And even though I stand by my decision, it feels as if shrapnel is ripping a whole through my heart.
Lynn was hurt. They’re both hurting because they can never be together. Then there’s an issue with Lynn’s cheating ex-boyfriend who found out about Carson and Lynn’s illicit affair. Also, the family drama. Lynn didn’t have family she can count on except her best friend Bridget and her family. Another twist of the story was when Lynn found out who was her real dad! (pretty unreal but ehh this is fiction). She also did some thing that could be a trigger to readers.
So at the end Carson resigned and he and Lynn finally un-illicit their relationship (is that a word? LOL).
I wish there’s more. Carson had the potential to be a better hero and Lynn was an okay heroine. Nothing especial. This book didn’t really work out for me, but still read it 😀
