Let me say this first, I FREAKING ADORE THIS SERIES ESPECIALLY IAN, MY HACKER ❤

This read was a combination of wit, romance, banter, and just looooooove!

Okay, Kate Watts was an attorney turned owner of a pantry, where she helped those who were in need. She really had a great heart and kindness. She needed donations so she asked her ex-boyfriend who was a TV producer to give her air time. He did. Now, comes Ian. My man hacker. I’M ABSOLUTELY IN LOVE WITH THIS MAN. Like Kate, he had true kindness. He was a hacker. He hacked “bad people” and gave those money to good people like Kate. He donated $1000 to Kate’s pantry ever since he saw her on TV, but remained anonymous. Ian being a hacker and because of that he had lots of enemies, so he’s secretive of his last name. Kate being a lawyer, she was kind of wary of Ian’s donations because she knew he was a cyber thief. But Ian kept reassuring her it was for a good cause.

“It sounds so distasteful when you say it like that. I prefer master appropriator of ill-gotten funds. You can call me master for short.”

Kate wanted to meet Ian so she actually waited for him to show up. Boy, it was funny!

“How did you know where to find me?”

“He held a steaming cup of coffee and blew on it to cool it. “I tracked your credit card activity. According to Capital One, you bought a cup of coffee and a muffin here twelve minutes ago.”
“You tracked my credit card?” Her voice sounded rather loud and shrieky.
He held a finger in front of his mouth. “Shh, Katie Long Legs. That information is for your ears only. How’s your coffee? “

From then on they started hanging out. Ian kept hacking Kate’s computer especially her dating site. Eventually, Ian asked Kate to date him. So they did. Still, Ian doesn’t tell Kate his last name. Their feelings turned into deeper feelings. I loved their relationship. They were like best friends who slept together. HAHA! Gosh, I adore them! Ian loved to spoil Kate especially Victoria Secret’s undergarments or some of La Perla’s. He’s rich so….

“How can it be this good every single time?” ”

“Maybe it’s us.”

Us.

“Maybe it is”

But for every good things came bad things. Ian had to go away since his work was done. He usually relocate whenever he’s done with his job, but this time he asked Kate to go with him. They planned it. BUT then Ian DIED! Kate was devastated 😥 Poor Katie. Kate’s messaged to Ian on his birthday made my heart hurt. I cried!!!

“You were supposed to be the one I would spend the rest of my life with. […] I will never love anyone the way I loved you, and I will never stop loving you.[…] You were the best thing that ever happened to me, and it’s not fair that I didn’t get more time with you.”

Ian’s death was actually fake because he was protecting Kate from his enemy who were closing in on her. It was until he contacted Kate on her dating site as “Rion Bodoh” or Robin Hood. The first thing that was on Kate’s mind when they met. Kate was so hurt when Ian faked his car accident. He promised her he would never leave her but he did.

“I love you,” he said.
“You hurt me,” she whispered.
“I didn’t want to.”

Ian wanted a second chance with Kate but she was heart broken with his lie.

“Maybe you don’t want the guy who broke your heart to be the one to help put it back together, but I would be grateful if you’d give me the chance. It’s not often that I don’t have the upper hand, Kate. But this is one of those times. Let me know what you decide.”

She asked for space. But eventually love won.

“Kate: I choose you.
She only had to wait a few seconds for his response.
Ian: I will spend the rest of my life making sure you never regret it. I love you, sweetness.”

Ian asked her for marriage and then they live happily for now.. (There’s book #2. Here’s my review.)

Oh wait, here’s one of my favorites in the book. It was when Ian hacked the Jumbotron and messaged Kate as well as the touchy Derek. 😀 HE’S SUCH A FREAKING ROMANTIC!

okay i’m gonna say it one more time: I LOVE THIS SERIESSSSSSSS! footer1
